Can anyone tell me which MX5 has the most headroom?

I’ve sat in both the convertible and hard top versions of the mark 4, and it seemed slightly more roomy in the convertible.

I’ve only sat in a hard top MK 3 and noticed this has height adjustment (which is strangely missing from the MK4).

Is the MK3 similar to the MK 4 in that the convertible has slightly more head room?

Why, have you got a massive head? biggrin
I've never heard of any height adjustment in an NC. Only the steering wheel, but I doubt that would help your headroom problem.
AFAIK The NC has the most room for tall people, but a soft top has less head room than a removable HT.
I think your question needs a bit more thought....

One thing to realise about the NC, especially if you have a lady passenger is the reduction in passenger legroom due to box of electronics (there's stuff about this on the various forums).

We were on the verge of getting one (and I'd priced in a trip to BBR) until I got Mrs 51mes to sit in it - to find out she couldn't sit comfortably. We ended up with an S2000..

There was no trouble in the ND.

Lol!
I meant height adjustment in the seat, in the mk3 it will lower, the mk4 won’t.
So, removable hard top gives the most then, thank you for that, another of my questions answered smile

Thanks for this. My mrs refuses to travel in anything I drive so that won’t be a problem smile
Yeah the S2000 is also on my radar but found that a bit small too. I looked into getting one previously but got put off by stories of oil surge on track, something the mx5 “apparently” doesn’t suffer?

Early nc with cloth seats and no height adjustment sit the lowest. The later seats with height adjustment ironically sit higher.
The removalable hardtop does give a tiny bit more room than soft top but not a huge amount. Couple of power roof cars I have sat in seem about the same as the soft top but mainly have the later height adjustable seats.

If you can find one I understand cars with the optional recaros sit lowest but they are very rare.
