Hi guys,

I drive with the top down on my 2009 MX5 Roadster Coupe car almost 24/7/365, so have the heater direction knob set to push air either side of my steering wheel through the vents which I have twisted to pointing at hands on steering wheel.

When I start every morning (in "heater" weather), i change it to Windscreen De-mist direction first to defrost/de-mist and then back to the aforementioned finger warming setting.

When I started car this morning, the heater and fan only now blows full strength hot air when knob turned all way round to Windscreen De-mist. All of the other direction settings now do not work and the fan doesn't push air through.

Any pointers please, as Murphy's Law means that the really bad snowy weather is just setting in so need screen de-mist and finger thawing issue sorting ASAP.

Thanks in anticipation,
Giles

Either the dial/switch on the dash has died or the motor that works the direction flap has packed up, also a possible bad connection inbetween.
I would say more likely the switch but its hard to pinpoint without a multimeter.
