Anyone any suggestions? Particularly after one with a decent spares or repairs for sale section.

Nutz, quite often you'll be able to find stuff for sale on there. Could also try calling places like AK Automotive and Blink who usually have shed loads of spares available at good prices

I think a lot of the forums are getting quite quiet these days. Certainly the case with mx5nutz. Their main Facebook page and buy and sell pages are pretty active though.

It's a shame what happened to MX5Nutz - it used to be a superb community full of knowledge and frequented by many clued up enthusiasts, you used to be able to get the answer to any technical problem there. Then the forum was sold, the classifieds were reformatted awfully and many of the clued up enthusiasts left the scene. The old format of the classifieds has since been reinstated but it's a ghost town compared to how it used to be.

The owner's club forum is worth a look, it's a bit more purist / grown up (some might find it stuffy / dull). It's sadly also not as busy / good / useful as it was a few years ago.

The classified ads in both forums are worth a look, but there's more on the aforementioned Facebook pages and eBay.

As above , wasn't the same after it changed hands. The Facebook pages have plenty of classifieds

Is pretty good, but being Australia based it's not going to be much use for your buying and selling.
