My beloved NA mx5's interior is not in great shape and therefore I have decided to refresh it and make a winter project out of doing so.

I am looking for suggestions and inspiration. Anyone seen anything cool?

I want a funky fabric, I have been obsessed with Leh Keen's Safari 911's this week along with their awesome interiors;

Anyone know what kind of material this is in one of Singers latest?

Edit:I have found it, It is a leather weave from Spinneybeck.

One of my pals, and also a keen MX5 owner has done this to her daily driver.

I think it looks tremendous.

Thanks, definitely some cool patterns on there, which patterns are you obsessing over?? Think i'll have to look for a source over here in the UK though. :/

I don't really know what types of fabric to consider. I am planning on doing the trim pieces marked below (this isn't mine, mine is all black);

I kept my seats and trim stock, but redid the dash and centre console

Another alternative is flocking.

Only really works on hard parts, but you end up with a finish similar to suade or alcantara.

Quite popular with race/rally cars to get rid of reflections and glare from the dash.
