Still searching for a mk1 mx5 turbo but everything I'm coming across seems to miss the mark as either flaky or tasteless. I've been searching MX5 Nutz, mx5 nutz Facebook, mighty 5s, owners club etc..Is there anywhere else I should be looking? Cheers, Ed

VR6 has decided to keep it now.
I think decent conversions have gone up in value as so many are rusty or turbo' s fitted without any decent fuelling solution or relevant upgrades.

Thanks so far. Looking for something a bit more modified/fast road spec than that but cheers anyway.

The problem may be fining a car which someone else built the way you want it. Also, how well (or badly) was it done? Fixing issues can often be more expensive than doing it right in the first place and spoil your enjoyment too.

Have you thought about finding a nice base car and doing it yourself? It's not that difficult and you learn so much about your car. I read and read and then read a bit more and then built mine exactly to my preferred spec. I can't see me ever selling it because it's MY car.

Depending on where you live, several companies offer drive in / out conversions if you don't fancy trying it yourself. You can then do other modifications over time or to suit your budget.

Hi. Yes I'd love to do that and agree completely with your comments. However the reason I'm trying to find something done is I have a single seater racing car as well which probs me of time , space and cash.

I have the sort of spec in mind but nothing I've seen yet has been quite right, ( ultimately want dark or white colour, solid or repaired sills/arches, good turbo conversion, good chassis/brake mods, decent wheel/tyre combo clean interior with buckets etc etc). There's quite a few that look close but just not quite right. I'm trying to limit myself to £5k which looks realistic having seen good spec cars in wrong colour or viewing older ads for cars that have already sold. I'm sure the right car will come up but just need to be patient and keep my eyes peeled I guess?

Since i have a R32 GTR coming my way very shortly i have been mulling over selling mine but lacking motivation. 230Bhp and thousands spent on it at well known names in the MX5 community.

If you are interested in knowing more i can tell you about it but it demands a healthy price (the spec will tell the story) smile

PM me if interested.

Cheers
