Mk2 Mx-5 front end on a Mk2.5 Mx-5?
Discussion
Hi everyone, I be new here.
My 2003 Mx5 got written off a month ago, decided to repair it myself. It's a Cat N so only cosmetic. I will be replacing the bumper as part of this process, and was wondering if it is possible to put the front bumper and headlights from a pre-facelift mk2 onto my mk2.5? I'm not that bothered I just prefer the way the pre-facelift looks, and if I'm going to be replacing the bumper anyway I thought I might look into it.
I think the mounting points are the same, but I read somewhere that the wiring for the headlights is different? If anyone could shed any light on this it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

as above, mk2 headlights are crap compared to mk2.5 headlights. Like driving with them off, its that different. Wiring can be adapted if you have an electrical tester easily enough. I've done the mk2.5 to mk2 conversion many times but not in reverse as i dont see the point. Mk2.5 front bumper is far nicer, more aggressive and the mk2.5 headlights are vastly superior. Also cheap as so many get split for parts.
