Hi all,

I have a couple of leaks coming from the bolt holes in the rain rail (pictures below). I have had the car (NA) for around a month and the roof had been fitted last year when the car was imported. After inspection it seemed as though the bolts had just been put on and not tightened. I understand that the rain rail is quite sensitive to under and over torquing. I lightly tightened them in the order recommended how there seems to be no improvement!

Any remedies? I was thinking of just squirting silicon around the bolts? Should I try and remove the bolts and re install the rain rail?

If i am right i think theres supposed to be some rubber washers behind those nuts :

Are these present?

I had a similar issue after a respray and that and a nip up seemed to do it.

Are they leaking in normal rain conditions or just when you stick a hose on it? Its pretty easy to overwhelm the rain rail when washing the car as the water just cant flow away quick enough so can overflow the bolt holes. Also makes a difference if ypu park facing up a hill

Haha I was parked facing up a hill and spraying with a hose. Maybe i'm just being over dramatic! I have bought one of those Cabrio Shields as well so hopefully it should be fine. Thanks!
