Dash cover RHD NA
Discussion
Hi,
I drive a RHD MX-5 / Eunos Roadster. As I live on a smallish Caribbean island (Cayman Islands) my dash has taken a beating by the sun and is all cracked up, and missing some part that have broken off. This is mainly the dash top, the instrument binnacle cover is surprisingly still intact.
I'd like to fix this, I realize the most common answer would be to get a dash of a junker or parts supplier. These are not available locally, I know of one NA junked but it's LHD and the dash is shot too. Getting one shipped in would not be a solution due to shipping costs (can get reasonable shipping from US but no RHD cars there) and import taxes.
So I'm looking at getting a dash cover, not beautiful but better then a cracked dash. There are covers in the US, but again only for LHD. The only place I found where they have RHD cars and a lot of sun and thus this issue, would be Australia. This one looks pretty decent: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/DASH-MAT-DASHMAT-BLACK...
However knowing the postal system here, the chances of it arriving are slim, and in any decent timeframe.
We have quite a few people traveling back and forth to the UK, so I was wondering if anyone knows of such a cover sold in the UK? I know with the UK weather sun-cracked dashes might be less of a problem... ;-) There are some leather ones on eBay, but these are quite expensive and require some fitting so not too keen on those.
Thanks for any tips!

For those interested, I ordered the dashmat from the eBay seller in my previous post.
No more cracked dash to look at!
Fit and quality are pretty good. All the ventilation openings are cleared. Shipping was way better than expected. Ordered 17 December, shipped from Australia 25 December, ready for pick-up at post office in Cayman Islands on 5 January.

That seems to have the same edging as the mats that come with 5s. It certainly looks like the mats in my GF's mk2.5.
Other benefits I can see aside from covering a multitude of sins are that it must cut down on reflections in the screen and you can take it out and vacuum it instead of dusting the dash once a week.
Having said that, I don't like it at all.
