Rodders brake pads
Discussion
Have been looking into a mild braking upgrade for fast road/track Mk3.
Ended up with Brembo discs, Rodders 'magical mystery' pads and some homemade cooling ducts to replace my fog lights.
Have heard good things about these pads, but jeez! They are better than I thought they were going to be, significantly improved braking power and hopefully reduced fade.
Highly recommend these pads to anyone looking for an upgrade, I believe they are available for Mk1,2 and 3's.
Will be at Brands on Tuesday, interested to see how they perform on track.
On a side note;
I thought my brakes were working fine before, however on closer inspection 2 of the 4 front caliper sliders were completely seized solid, causing significantly accelerated pad wear and wedge shaped pads! took a fair whack to free mine up and thoroughly greased them, for the sake of half an hour taking the wheels etc. off I would suggest checking yours too.
