Crack in rear plastic screen
Discussion
I've lowered the roof on my Mk1 without unzipping the plastic window, and now have a 6-inch crack top centre.
It it doubly annoying as I did it whilst cleaning the car before putting it up for sale! As I'm selling I don't want the expense of replacing the hood, but would like to smarten it up a bit.
Can anyone recommend a repair kit? Plastic weld or similar?
Cheers.

As already suggested, clear tape & be prepared to make an allowance in the asking price. A less hassle route & better than trying to do a bodged repair that might look as if you're attempting to hide or camouflage something.
It's highly likely that a new owner will want to fit a glass window anyway which usually means a new hood as well.
I owned a 1990 Mk1 almost from new & when the hood was just beginning to look tatty & the Perspex window opaque I couldn't wait to have a new hood & a glass heated window fitted ( the wiring was already in-situ). No more faffing about unzipping the window first, an unwelcome throwback to 1950's/60's British sportscars.
