Just about to buy a 2010 2.0 sport tech mk3.5 with mechanical hard top...should the emergency tool kit for raising the roof if it fails come as standard with car from new? As this hasn't got one but thought it should come with car. £80 odd from Mazda for couple of metal rods and some rope!
Thanks in advance ??

Comes as standard and is usually in the glovebox or toolkit bag…

Our was in a shabby see-through plastic bag with the jack in the boot.

If the car hasn't got the emergency roof kit, then there is a DIY alternative for building it at a fraction of the cost on the UK Owners Club forum.

The process to manually raise the roof seems to require a doctorate in mechanical engineering; I hope I never have to do it confused

I didn't realise they came with one - can only find the jack and toolkit bag which I've never looked inside. I'm selling my '61 sport tech soon so better check it ..
