Hi, I have a mk3 2.0 spot 2008. Due to water ingres, the fuse box got wet.
Nearly £800 later, I'm still having problems, most of which, I believe, are down to the plug leading into the main fuse box in the engine bay (see image). This became very hot and partially melted.
Does anyone know if this is replaceable? There seems to be sufficient "slack" in the wiring bundle.

That's NOT your problem, that is a brown grease

All mx5's from 2006 to 2015 in other words mk3 & 3.5's are like that.......it's a grease to stop corrosion.

What is your problem?

Thanks for answering, cooling fan and temperature gauge failed yesterday, so engine over heated. Traction control light permanently on.
Engine warning light on.
After unplugging the illustrated plug and spraying it with wd40, the fan kicked in again, but engine light still on.
I certainly don't trust the car at present.
