My wife had her MX5 serviced last November at a Mazda dealer that has now closed down and it would appear that they didn’t replace the toolkit in the boot (I’m being generous here by not suggesting that some lowlife in the service department pinched it.)

Fast forward to the present and we need to remove a wheel, which is where we realised the toolkit had gone walkabout. Of course we don’t have the locking wheel but key to remove the wheel and are wondering if anyone can recommend the best place to source a replacement?

i would suggest that you go to another mazda dealer and they should be able to source from their records

They will also have a master set to get the wheel off. It is just a Macguard unit

When we bought our Nc 5 years ago the independant dealer we bought it from did some work on the brakes before we picked it up and it wasn't until a few months later we realised the locking key wasn't back in the car. I emailed McGard and they asked for a picture of the wheel nut and then some id and I think 30 quid and they sent a new one from Germany.

Thanks for the responses guys. Think we’ve found a UK based firm that can supply a replacement after sending them all the details and confirmation of ID.
