Hi all, I own an MX5 mk2 and looking for a bit of advice. I have 2 mechanics in the family who seem to have a nightmare and hate the thought of changing the fuel filter on my car. They’ve done it about 2 years ago and It’s seemed a really big deal. Fair enough, im not a mechanic. But I’m reading thing online suggesting it’s not that bad? Anyway, I appear to have this problem with my car every 18months to 2 years where I’m losing a bit of power, like today at times foot to the floor in 40 to 60mph roads and she’s struggling to get from 30 to 40mph. Loss of power intermittently like I had 2 years ago. Everyone who was a mechanic seemed to blame it on clutch or something else, but my fella reckoned fuel filter. Low and behold it solved the problem immediately, 2 years ago. So does anyone have this problem regularly or any insights? And is it really a big job? I would really appreciate any input. Thanks
