Was going to my MOT on Tuesday at kwik fit, as i got in there i noticed the temp guage was off the scale!

I ran the heater, but only cold air coming out even though id been driving 10 mins.

Kwik fit have looked at the car and said that there is a cracked pipe underneath - but seem to have no clue what it is.

Taking a chance and asking here if anyone might have a clue what it is?? I know its a HUGE ask as i have so few details!

A coolant pipe? Did they give any indication of size? Metal or rubber? There's a bottom hose and a metal pipe to the bottom of the radiator. Both available from suppliers.

Sorry just to clarify I'd assumed MK1 or 2. Anything newer and I'm clueless.

They said metal - and its a MK1.

Reading about, could it be the water inlet pipe?

My guess would be this

out of stock there unfortunately, none on David Manners. There's a couple of used ones on ebay if you're stuck.

Best of luck.

I actually forgot Autolink. They have used ones for £10 plus P+P. Also try a Mazda dealer, you never know.
