Tillett Seats in mk3
Discussion
Thought I’d share the progress I’ve made on my seats.
As you may be aware, there aren’t very many seats that fit well and even fewer seat mounts that fit to the OEM seat fittings.
I’m in the process of developing my own mount because the commercially available ones are horrendously priced and don’t actually sit central.
So I’ve got a prototype with an adapter to get the Tillett to sit centrally.
You can see the adapters I’ve mocked up. Next step is to get them made in 3mm steel as a stop gap whilst I finalise those measurements for the final design
Plenty of room around the sides of the seat and the door & tunnel

Sorry, I forgot all about this thread.
Got it finished and very happy with the setup now... it’s kinda moved on quite some way!
I’ve added a second Tillett seat, this time a Carbon B5, which is designed for the Elise. Fits perfectly and is more comfortable for passengers of varying sizes.
Safety Devices half cage was added and the interior trim removed. That’s not necessary for the seats though, unless you’re really tall.
DIY trim to the rear
Test location for the Aim Solo DL, it’s back on the dash now.

Do I sit much lower?
I had the opposite problem, I sat too low! I’ve ended up using some 10mm spacers that I had machined. 2 at the back and one at the front. I’m 6ft.
I have room behind the seat, but that’s due to the trim removal, I reckon the back of the seat would touch the trim if I had that fitted in it’s current position, but not much.
