Hi guys I have a Mazda mz5 nc 2013 special addition . lovely car drives fantastic but I am a little disappointed with the pick up speed in the lower gears.i know they are not renowned for there speed but I think it could if I increase the bottom end performance I would be much happier all-round.i have been in contact with bbr tuning in Brackley and the guy there was very helpful indeed. He has told me that if I was to change the manifold and have a remap it would significantly improve the performance. Can anyone help me on this matter. Or have anymore advise .

Dave

A remap would help on it's own, put the full kit, manifold etc + remap would be better.

There are a few places that do it.

Blink Motorsport
Roddison Motorsport
Skuzzle
BBR

Depends on where you are based but all come recommended. While you are at it I would get an alignment done, as they can be a bit out.

Had mine mapped by Skuzzle with no other mods. Improved throttle response immensely and car felt much quicker in first and second (where it's throttle limited on the standard map).

Couple of weeks back I got Skuzzle to fit a Racing Beat manifold and map it again. This released another 30bhp and the car is now a right little pocket rocket.

The remap is sadly expensive as you have to buy a licence to crack the factory ECU on each car and there's no way around it.
