Pop up headlight won't go down

For a temporary fix you can manually wind it down, there's a small winder under a black plastic cover on the end of the motor IIRC. You can see it in this pic - its the plastic lump topleft, pull the cover off and there's a winder under it. It does take a while to wind the headlamp down though

Other than that I suppose you need to start troubleshooting the motor and electrics on that side - test for power at the plug to the motor etc... I assume it doesn't respond to the override switch on the dash but the other side does?
Places like Autolink UK will probably have used replacement motors and housings etc... quite cheaply.
