My 2012 Venture edition will need new tyres soon. Still on original tyres after around 20k and wearing thin with some perishing. Have looked at goodness knows how many tyres and rather like the look of Avon ZZ5 205/45/17 88W. Has anyone used them ?

I dont have experience of those tyres, but I have been doing some research as I'll likely be changing mine later this year.

AD08R's and Goodyear Eagle F1 A3's get good reviews so I'll likely be getting one of those.

I'm sure someone will come along regarding those that you mentioned though!

I loved Federal RSR on mine and they are pretty well priced....

Theyre pretty noisy though as they are track. Nankang NS2R have good reviews too and I currently have them on the front.

Avon ZV7 on my 2011 Sport Black. Great tyres for the price and surprising amount of grip in the wet.

I had the ZZ5's you're considering. I was very happy with them, and got the same again when they were done. They're decent value too. I used them year-round. No problem in the wet. Only the snow challenged them, but that's what the LSD is for smile

Michelin Pilot Super Sport are the best road tyres I have ever used, somewhat pricey but they do wear well which goes someway for making up for it.

Thanks for all the useful comments. I'll probably stick with my original choice of Avons, but it's handy to know what other people's preferences are.

You can go 215/45, so slightly bigger on the standard rim and then pilot sport cup 2's fit, and they are a very good tyre.
