I have just bought a 2007 MX-5 but the driver’s floor mat is not secured so annoyingly slides around. There is a bracket under the drivers seat that the mat should attach to but I am unsure of what clip should be used.

The bracket under the drivers seat

The floor mat

There are a couple of clips on MX5 parts but they appear to sink into the floor and not attach to the bracket.

Does anyone know where I can get the right clip or will I have to sink a new fitting into the floor?

Those don't look right at first glance, are they Mazda mats? The other bit doesn't look correct either, there should be a press out square in the carpet and these loop through it:

That mat looks like it takes the type of fitting that is like a self tapping screw that goes into the carpet and the attaches to the mat.

They are official Mazda mats but they are from the earlier Mk3 so don’t have the two holes in each mat, just the one on the drivers side. I believe those clips are for the later Mk3.5 when they moved to studs from oval fittings

I found this one which would work but it mentions that it is a replacement for the bracket in the description

Ah I see, you're probably wondering (like I did with mine) how someone has driven a car for so long with the mats sliding around like that, my later model was just the same, but with different clips.

You’re right, it did make me wonder but that was soon taken over by sheer frustration and the mat is no longer in the car
