I'm a bit confused and frustrated over the forum policy of not allowing negative reviews in posts. After a particularly poor set of circumstances with a dealer in the North East I responded to a previous post with a fair / balanced review, only to have the post deleted due to "No naming and shaming on the forums please".

What frustrates me is that, prior to the purchase, I researched the dealer and found a number of positive reviews, but no negative ones. This certainly influenced my decision to buy the car. The post in question was asking for advice from those that had experience of the particular dealer. If negative responses are not permitted, then positive ones should be disallowed as well, else the forum promotes misinformation and offers no protection for members from unscrupulous dealers.

Sorry for your disappointment but one of the rules of posting that you have just agreed to abide by when you registered was No. 21 which states:-
"Do not name and shame any company or individual, or post content which could cause reputational damage or which could be deemed as libellous or defamatory."

We would suggest that if you have a problem with a company, then you should take it up directly with them.
We have found in the past at great cost to the site owners, is that there are always two sides to every story.

HTH explain.
