I have one of these and only one key...
I think there is an immobiliser, the dashboard has a lovely little yellow key and lock light on it that lights up as I start the car.
If I wanted a second key (as I may or may not be prone to misplacing them), do I need a special one?
If so anyone got any suggestions on where to get one, I am in Surrey. I am hoping not a Mazda dealer...

James @ Autolocks was always very helpful when I worked at Mazda, mostly told customers just to go to him directly.

Have a look on http://www.abacuscaralarms.co.uk/immobilisers.html and see if your type is listed on there. If it is, it should give you a head start on what you might need and how to get it programmed.
My Eunos immobiliser is one of those and I bought a couple of spare fobs from them and the guide to program them up, I just need to get around to doing it.

If it's just the main car key you're after, as mentioned above Timpsons should be able to cut you one. If you're immobiliser is a separate fob, it's likely that your key is just a standalone key with no special gubbins in it. When I had spare keys cut for my '93 eunos, Timpsons sorted me out in a couple of days for a pair of plain keys.
