Hi guys,
I have a 1996 mk1 (NA) 1.8i.

When I switch off I get a 2 tone chirping noise from the radio speakers, does anyone know what this is.
I'm assuming it's a notification of something amiss and I'm guessing it's the immobilizer?

I'm not sure what I should do to address this issue can anyone offer some advice?

Thanks guys

Sure it's not the stereo just warning you that you have left the face attached?

Out of interest, what stereo do you have?
Mine does the same but has an option to turn it off.

Hi it was the stereo you were correct.

It's a Sony, I don't have a hand book for it, I'll see if I can find one on the internet.

Thanks for your help.

I was hoping OP had inadvertently bought a car with a welded diff laugh

When I was a kid, my dad had an E36 3 series with a Sony CD player which made that noise when you took the key out the ignition. Always remembered that for some reason.
