Two pieces of advice needed please.

1) My 1994 NA has a drive belt (I have AC, but it is off) that squeals when the engine first starts. It only does it for a few seconds and then stops. It only occurs when I'm driving if I drive through a puddle. I tightened it a few months ago, but now it's squealing again I'm off to Le Mans next week so I'm not sure whether to get it changed before I go, buy a new belt and take it with me just in case, or worry about it when I get back.

2) As I leave work each day, I come out of the car park and pull up to a junction. I turn left and head up a small incline. After a few seconds the engine hesitates/misfires for a few seconds and then after that it is fine. It does this every day. Any clues as to what the cause is and how I can stop it happening? It never happens first thing in the morning as I leave home, but then there's no incline for the first few miles.

Thanks.

1) that would d my head in, change it, easy DIY job.

2) I would guess its a fuel pick up issue, probably some rubbish in the tank that happens to reduce the fuel flow in the specific situation. try some fuel cleaner stuff.
