NB spring/damper upgrade
Discussion
Evening all,
I've been commissioned by my father to upgrade the suspension on his 60k mile, immaculate 1.8 NB MX5-as far as I'm aware it has the standard factory suspension, not the Bilstein option I've read about. The Bilstein B8's together with Eibach springs are my immediate thought-any other recommendations?
He's not a track warrior in the slightest-maintaining ride comfort is a top consideration although more handling precision wouldn't go amiss. The car is only a weekend/sunny day car but it still needs to be habitable for a weekend away-for comparison he hated my Nitron equipped S1 Elise but quite liked the balance of my Bilstein'ed S3 Elise. Naturally I love driving his MX5 but it's a little too wallowy for me-I reckon something that nails it down to the road a little more while keeping the lovely playful, adjustable side and reasonable ride quality would be just the ticket.
