Hey folks

Just looking for opinions, I have an 'Emerald Mica' NB2 Mx5, a few months ago I picked up a silver hard top and entirely removed my soft top (top down motoring just isn't for me). I bought the top under the intention of repainting it, either by my self or preparing it for a professional finish pending on price.

My original intention was to paint it gloss black, primarily for simplicity of not needing to colour match 12 year old paint, secondarily for resale, black roofs sell like hotcakes. But after seeing several Mx5s with colour matched roofs I am really being swayed, just looking for other opinions on what to do.

My car as it sits at the moment:
(wheels are gunmetal team dynamics 1.2s, front plate is now fixed smile )

Could you get the roof to match the wheels? That would be pretty cool.

The wife has a Classic red Eunos with a Ford bright silver hardtop. Wasn't keen at first but it has now grown on me.

As your car is a dark colour anyway I would probably go gloss black, black does work on any colour 5 so your right that they are popular and easy to sell.
I used to have a red HT for my car but I sold it and bought a black one, I prefer the black on red look.
