MX5 NA HSD Coilovers & ride height

Hi All,
I have a 95 1.8 iS
I am swapping my 22 year old springs and shocks for some fancy HSD coilovers.
I suspect this is a well-trodden route… for normal street use is there some simple ride height principles to stick to?
i.e. I don’t want it slammed, but I don’t want it on stilts either, it’s there a well-known practical ride height most people stick to?
Also does the rear need to be 20/30mm higher than the front? Or is perfectly level acceptable?
As you can probably tell – I am new to this and any advice is appreciated.
