Help! Spring/damper options for a Mk1 S-Special
Discussion
I've got a broken rear spring on my Mk1 1.8 Special.
The car is on the original Bilsteins and feels good (or it did until the spring went). Is it possible to get new springs that will suit the Bilstein dampers? Having had a quick phone round a couple of suppliers it seems both the springs and shocks on the Bilstein-equipped cars are quite different to the standard setup.
Failing that, can anyone recommend a reasonably affordable coilover kit?

Bilsteins come up 2nd hand reasonably often on other forum for sale pages and Facebook buy and sell pages. Would 2nd hand work?
It'd be a great solution if you knew it was a good set. The main reason I'm tempted to stick with mine, though, is that I know they work well.Considering a set of the fixed height Gaz coilovers. Anyone used them for road and occasional track use? Height adjustables add quite a lot of money and I'm not sure I can be arsed to get a C-spanner out for the one or two track days I might do a year.
