Mk1 Engine Mounts
Discussion
Picked up another Mk1 at the weekend and drove it the short 300 miles home. That gave me plenty of time to come up with a mental to-do list as I drove along.
One thing that I think might need addressing is the engine mounts. I notice that there is a lot of movement from the gearbox when you come on and off the throttle. To me that implies that the engine is moving too much but I guess it could also be the diff mounts? Any thoughts?
Seems prudent to do the engine mounts anyway. Are MX5 Parts the best place for them? Worth going for the uprated IL ones on a roadcar? They're a few quid cheaper but I don't want any harsh vibrations.
