How would you value a MK 3 launch edition?

Anyone got any thoughts as to how you would put a value on a 2005 launch edition?
My father is looking to sell his, he's had it for over 4 years now and I owned it before him. Both of us are fully aware that the launch edition was a better specification and at the time the only version available in red metallic. I've got to assume that it has more desirability and therefore higher value than a standard 2.0 sport but in these days of people shopping online I'm not sure if it will appear on search listings if it was priced higher.
