Hi guys, looking for a bit of advice. Currently stripping a 2.5 sport for an Exocet build. Looking at the bushes around the wishbones etc, these look fairly worn and could do with renewing. Only done 46k miles but as I'll be shot-blasting and then repainting the rest of the suspension components I think these will look horrendous left as they are! Looking online I can see many different types of poly-bush kit, ranging massively in price. Seen a set which are branded 'duraflex' for considerably cheaper than others, much more in my price range. Anyone got any experience of these? Not hugely bothered about ride comfort etc as it can't get much worse than an exocet already will be, hardly the forte of an Exocet anyway! Car will only see dry roads and garaged when not driven including winter so longevity shouldn't be too much of an issue either.

Cheers in advance!

I would say avoid cheap and go for one of these brands

1) ilmotosports
2) superpro

moss-europe do a discount on the superpro set every now and again

I'd say stick with Mazda rubber bushes. They last well and on an Exocet which is lighter than an MX5 they will be plenty.

As already said super pro seem to be the poly bush of choice. For slightly firmer rubber option il motorsports do a set that mx5 parts sell but cheap they are not. Still cheaper than oem though that are 25% more. If you have patience mx5 parts tend to do 10% off weekends at bank holidays. Not sure if they do anything for Black Friday.
Not sure on prices for super pro...

Cheers guys, may be something I have to put up with for now and upgrade when I can. Not worth the hassle and expense of fitting the cheap ones if theyre gonna cause more issues than they solve!

Where abouts in the country are you? I have a few bushes from a set of arms I am refurbing I will happily swap for a 4 pack of beer. Not a full set but may help your issue. Think some must have been replaced at some point and look relatively new. I'm in Hertfordshire.

I'm in Norwich, couldn't be much further away haha, though Hermes do parcels under 2kg for 2.95, happily pay that and some beer money for some bushes wink
