hi guys I've been reading though various other posts regarding braking

im after some new disks and pads as this car is going to prodominen going to be a stripped out track car and not much else

ive decided on ether carboteck or mintex 1166

motul rbf600 racing fluid

And hel braded hoses

now im having a very hard job to find anywhere that sells them apart from Ebay which I'm loathed to use seeing as they'll probably turn up and be completely wrong as things are regularly mislabeld and just put down as fits all models across the board
I've found a few specialists but they ether don't have what I want, don't have the option to buy from the website or don't answer the phone

in addition I've read that my model may have larger brakes than the usual mk2 being a sport which just throws up even more issues

please somebody who's done this before send me a link before I burn the car

cheers guys

Tom

I love Axxis ULT but they seem to be hard to find for Mk2.5 Sport lately. However, the replacement is Stoptech and you can get these from http://www.5-speed.co.uk/performance.php?section=b...

It's what I have on mine at the moment and they drive like stock pads on the road but with zero fade and harder bite when heated up on track.

Ahh I did try to call 5-speed a few times
The one time I got through he said he'd call back as was pretty busy and I'm still waiting 3 days later
It'd be better if I could purchase them online from him but there doesn't seem to be an online 5-speed purchase option
Thanks for the reply bud

Yeah they can be pretty busy but Steve is a good guy. If you get to talk to Steve, tell him Lazza sent you. Won't get you a discount though lol.

The Mk 2.5 Sport does have bigger brakes than regular MX5s.

The front Discs are 270 mm diameter and the rear 276 mm.
