East London Arch/ Sill Repair
Discussion
Chaps,
I have very recently availed myself of a bargain basement Mk2.5 which, while apparently mechanically sound, does have arch bubbling and signs of sill corrosion. Chassis rails appear ok based on an initial inspection.
I'd like to nip the corrosion in the bud and while I anticipate this won't be cheap it will be cheaper than allowing it to get worse.
Question is where do I get this work done? Some shady railway arch Eastern European setup or somewhere that doesn't mind if you don't pay in cash.
I live in East London (South Woodford) and so local recommendations would be welcome.

There is a place in Romford. Not used them, but they've been there for a few years.

Seen him mentioned on Nutz where I think he upset them on there, but after a bit of Google: http://www.mx5nutz.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=3...

Perhaps someone on here knows more. Not mud slinging, just recommendations?

I am sure Russ at Everything MX5 will know a decent bodyshop.
I'd recommend http://www.kraftwork-chelmsford.co.uk/ bit of a trek and not cheap but top quality work. About to pull the trigger for them to do a full respray on my mk1. Check their Facebook page for lots of pics of their work.
Or try http://www.clpanelcraft.com/ bit further away but good work. Done lots of MX5s. I had the sills on my mk1 done there a couple of years ago and they did a proper job.
