Hi chaps, just wondering if anyone could help me with this.
Is there any way to adjust the black metal plates between the roof and the rubber seals? I can't work out if they are part of the frame itself or not.

On the right side:

On the left however I've noticed they are much higher and tucked into the roof, the seal against the window is crap and loads of water gets in.

Thanks in advance for any help smile

Hmm. I don't think the plates are adjustable or actually the problem. The gap between the rubbers on the left is bigger. I'd suggest teasing the rubber closer together to fill that gap. The rubbers are gripped in a stainless channel and can be slid about and stretched to get better coverage. Also, as a bit of a home remedy, I put vaseline along the mating surfaces, rubber to rubber and rubber to glass. Just a thin smear helps make a good seal. Some say its bad for the rubber but I've not had any issues yet and other things such as white silicone grease or wax are suggested.

Thanks for that. I've taken the rubber seals off the strainless channel before, maybe I need to try again. I do a similar thing, only I use that silicone grease you mentioned. Just don't get any of it on the seats laugh
