I know the best way to improve power/weight ration would be to reduce the driver, and that is work in progress, that said I would like to replace the seats on my recent purchase which will be used for sprints/hillclimbs next season. Actually the seat doesn`t have to be particularly lightweight but certainly no heavier than standard.

Car is a Mk2.5 2003 model.

I will be using harnesses so the seat will have to accomodate that, along with my big arse, I don`t want high sides so a full race seat won`t work and I would prefer it to be on runners so the wife can drive it but that is not essential.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

People use the seats from an Elise, would that work?

You should have nicked the kevlar jobs out of the RS before you sold it. wink

I think you might be mistaking me for another fat bd as I never had a RS, but the Elise suggestion is good.

Thanks

Ah, apologies I got the wrong person. I thought you were the chap from Goodwood sportscars, but I've got my wires crossed from a different thread.

I've got a Sparco Sprint v in my mk2 - It is a bit snug but comfortable enough and definitely helps on autosolos and targa rallies.

Thanks Bob, That Sparco looks good, unfortunately there is no place around here, NE Scotland, where I can go and plonk my arse in a few seats to see what would suit me so I may have to take the plunge and just order one and hope for the best.
