Hi everyone
Found this MX5: https://www.gumtree.com/p/mazda/1990-eunos-roadste...
I did an MOT history check and it has an advisory note for play in the anti roll bar bush. Is this a common problem in the early MX5/Eunos? Had to have them replaced on my current car which is a Mini and didn't take long, do you think an unexperienced person like myself will be able to replace them relatively easily?
Also, anything else stand out as an issue with this specific car?
Cheers, Daniel

Not a particular weakness of the car but all the rubber bits age. Std rubber replacements easily got and will be just fine. You can uprate them. ARB bushes are easily accessed and replaced, simple job for a garage or home mechanic. Trickiest bit is dealing with old rusty fixings, wire brush and Plusgas/WD40 soaking before attempting to remove, refit with copper grease to make easier next time.
polybushes for ARB mounts are about £30 for front pair sam e for the rear, new arb drop links are £30 each if you buy new genuine mazda, you need two per roll bar so four in total, and that is from mx5parts who are generally more expensive than other suppliers.
WD40 or plusgas and a socket set and you are away !
