Starting problems

First let me admit to being a real amateur seeking help from more experienced guys. I have a 2008 MX 5 Roadster which has starting problems. I was having problems with the battery so replaced with new Enduroline two months ago, Everything fine then get in yesterday and everything completely dead , not a glimmer of life..
Charged new battery and still no glimmer of life. Charged old battery and some life but just loud ticking noise on turning ignition. Checked fuses but cant see a problem. can anyone help please.

So do you have no power to the car at all with the new battery, i.e. no dash lights. If you've got power, it could be your starter motor sticking.
