Need someone to re-engine mk3 MX5

Hi All,

I've been lurking on here for a few years. Never posted anything on here though.

I have an 06 Mk3 MX5 2.0 Sport. The engine has gone on it.

I've sourced a new engine from a 2011. Now I just need someone to fit it. I'm based near Gatwick - is there anyone you could recommend?

Just out of interest. How did it die?

I think it's the big end bearing.

Loud knocking sound even at idle.

You are possibly too far as he is in Sheffield?

g40steve - sheffield is a little too far unfortunately.

The courier company managed to drop my engine and crack it.

Now I need to source another. I'm inclined to go with: http://engineengineering.co.uk/start/

Have you tried calling BBR or Roddisons? They will both probably have engines available to buy or should be able to source one and have it sent via courier to you
