Mk1 1.8 or 1.8is

Hi Gang,
Choosing between two 1995 cars..lucky me.
Should I go for a 1.8 with no power steering and wind up windows spec with a nice steering wheel or a 1.8is with airbag wheel etc and are they both 130bhp cars?

The non airbag model as it's going to be easier to get through MOTs when it's older and gives you options to change it later.

yes good point - in fact not too bothered about the power steering and probably the simpler the better. thanks.

I'd go for the s every time. I don't like the non-PAS rack and it's nice to have the power windows, mirrors & leather. Also the 1.8s will have a TorSen LSD.

Thanks for the input Lazza - will try both - seems really to be matter of personal preference.
