rx8 diff into the mx5 subframe

Ive been doing a lot of searching but different forums start contradicting each other and there are no straight answers!
The reason for me wanting to do this as im currently in the middle of building a rwd oval hot rod! Im using a vauxhall nova shell spaceframed to accomodate the mx5 subframe and suspension! As far as i can see the rx8 lsd seam to be alot more cheaper and more regularly available where i am!
Is the rx8 diff able to fit into the mx5 subframe? Ive read that it can be done but the rx8 diff mount must be used! But like ive said so many people end up saying yes or no then a couple comments later they have completely contradicted themselfs!
