Hi all, just got a Mk2 and am looking at replacing all the ugly stuff - the main thing being the old steering wheel where the rubber has come off the metal and it looks horrible.

The mk2.5 steering wheels look much nicer and come with the airbag in some cases which I am keen to keep. Can I fit a 2.5 steering wheel to a mk2 easily enough? I've looked around and can only see people replacing then with non air-bag after-market, not replacing like for like (ish)

Also, is it worth attempting the change myself? I've seen about half the posts saying 'DON'T DO IT' and the other half just doing it and unplugging the airbag without a care in the world.

Any advice much appreciated!

Where are you? I have a MK2 Nardi, it's the same as the MK2.5 but the centre badge is less erm "Jazzy" as the MK2.5 one. Plus it's guaranteed to fit.

Yes a mk2.5 OEM wheel will fit, I have an FD Rx7 airbag Nardi in my Mk2, it's identical to the Mk2 version.
