Hi MX5 Folk,

I've started a new youtube channel called "Lights go up Lights go down" its purpose will be to show videos giving useful advice, buyers guides, how to guides, tips, reviews, feature cars and anything else I think of that might be interesting and useful, I will also be open to suggestions from people like you.

I've started the channel with what i think will be a very useful guide for anyone looking to buy an MX5, it shows where to look on the rear sills to spot a good car from a bad car, as it is my first video along these lines I have realised that I will probably need to invest in an external mic and some more cameras, but its not a bad start really

Please subscribe to the channel to keep up to date with any new videos I make, and feel free to other your suggestions and comments

I really enjoyed watching that - covers all the advice that's written out there on forums etc but in video form so you can show what to look for with a voiceover. Looking forward to more of the same.

Now to go out and check mine for signs of a repair!

Nice work.

I think mine has been bodged but it only set me back 400 beer tokens, I may investigate further when the summer arrives.

Very informative and I would say a MUST watch for anyone looking to buy a MK1 MX5. I would imagine that by now the vast majority of MK1s either have rusted sills or have been repaired (in varying quality). As long as the cost of a proper repair is factored into the price when buying, it's not a big issue.

Thanks, I'll look at that comment a little later

I've recorded a follow up to that vid, I just haven't got around to editing it and posting it up yet
