Anyone tried one of these or know of anyone that has? Only available on the NC though but it appears to have had good feedback from other marques.

hi, i don't have it with a Remus branded box but it's identical to a DTUK pedal box. Google "DTUK pedal box" and have a look.
In my experience it just makes the pedal more sensitive and nothing else meaning you are always calling for more power than the pedal position, which is useful on cars tuned for economy. I wouldn't put it on an MX5 as it will make the revs jump up each time you touch the throttle on what's already a responsive engine unless you want it super responsive in which case yes it will do the job.
