I have just joined the forum and have found it quite useful already, thanks.

I am looking at buying a two year old Mazda from a non-Mazda garage. They tell me it has a full service history however there is no paperwork to back this up. The garage are going to get confirmation from Mazda on Monday however is there any way of me checking the history before then?

You should be able to get a print out from Mazda UK, it should include a Bodywork Check (corrosion, damage etc.)


Make sure that all the original Bar-codes are in place on all panels (Bonnet, Boot, Doors, etc.)

i also carried out a vehicle check & it is saying that there is outstanding finance named "unit stocking". the garage said that it is because all of their vehicles are financed until sold - do you know if this is anything to worry about?

I have heard of that happening due to the costs involved in holding large amounts of stock.

Personally I would request for a "proof of finance clearance" from the finance house, before parting with money!
