Strange jdm aftermarket electrics on my eunos

My eunos has this strange box under the steering wheel , any idea what it's for ? It has 6 buttons on the top you can switch to on / off . I've never touched it or altered any of the settings. Is it something boring like an immobiliser or some thing more exciting. The car had a few mods done in Japan before it was imported

I don't think it's been previously turbo'd although it came to the uk with updated suspension, 4 point cage , air con removed etc so it is possible
Might go out tomorrow and flick a few of the buttons and see what happens.
I showed my mate who is a self proclaimed 'expert in imported eunoses' but he didn't have a clue
The garage who have maintained the car for the last 3 years ( independent Porsche specialist ) told me they have no idea what it is, don't touch it !
I want to touch it, I can't resist

Here's some instructions I found on t'internet.
ON OFF
1: PN auto-detect release release PN auto detect
2:Bonnet open non wiring wiring
3:starter detect L-shaped terminal auto detect
4:auto stopping timer 30 mins 15mins
5:turbo timer 1min use don't use
6:grow time 4sec use don't use
What it means, well.
1: play with it, see if it makes a difference, I think in ON mine won't remote start
2: there is supposed to be abonnet switch, so when the bonnet is open you can't remote start the car. I haven't got a bopnnet switch, so this acts as a global on-off
3: play with it till it works, deffinately on mine L-shaped does funny things, auto works

ne remote started, how long to run for before turning off
5: turbo timer on or off
6: increase glow plug time by 4 secs, turn on in winter off in summer.
Have you got the remote for the remote starting function? It's probably long gone!

You are correct in that I certainly don't have any sort of remote, just 2 of the most basic keys you have ever seen.
I really want to go and test it now, however I am currently at my property in the city , after 3 glasses of red wine I don't want to go out playing with it on Halloween at this time of night. I will resist and give it a full test in the morning

No mate, just a bit of digging around. I had a JDM Crx Del Sol once that had been fitted with silly JDM boxes and just a good old bit of googling, the instructions above I copied from another site. Good luck!
