I'm just about to take the plunge and buy my first MX5, a 52 plate 1.8 Sport.
I've had a reasonable insurance quote from my current insurer, but I just wondered if anyone could recommend an alternative, who possibly specializes in MX5 insurance ?
Thanks

I use Aplan for my MX5 and WRX and find them competitive and very helpful.

Footman James for me but that's ona Classic policy. They did a big discount for being an owners club member (which you have to pay for). They will quote an oc price and give you a chance to sign up if it's worth it.

Thank you all for your help.
I managed to get a quote from Aviva for £271, and by going through the quidco website, I'll get £60 cashback too - Nice !!!

It depends on so many things, location, age, job, parking, spec, modifications, history (not just yours but also your post code) etc. that the only way to find a bargain is to do the shopping around yourself. What is cheap for one person might be expensive for someone else, even someone who lives next door.
