Going to view a mk1 MX5 tonight. Ive already owned a mk2 and mk3 and it seems i just can't keep away from the buggers!!! It is bit of a silly idea but oh well, i miss having something to chuck about! Await the "oh fk I've done it" or the "i walked away it was a shed" post at about 7ish.

That one was crusty. Bought one this morning though! Mk1 eunos with 80,000miles on it and... NO RUST!!! Had to have it, had it up on ramp and has sports back box and is spotless underneath! Got front and rear braces aswell.

Pick up at 4!

£1700 recent cambelt and water pump and sticking a fresh MOT. Had to have it as its got the goodies i wouldve put on it anyway without being barry'ed and its solid!

The odd scuff on it and tyres are mixmatched so theyre the only thing got planned for it.

Looks well, fair play.

Really starting to get major want for a Mk1 now. I jealous. This not helping.

It is the perfect partner for my Merc E-class... Total opposite! Not really had a proper drive in it yet as been busy.. Will report back tomorrow. It definatly feels more raw than the mk2 i had which i like as i dont need refinement for a toy.

Ha the spending will have to wait! I splashed out on a touch up pen from halfords for 2.50 and spent an hour or so filling in all the scratches and a couple of nasty scuffs.. £2.50 well spent as it now looks bloody lovely!

... & SO much nicer if you replace the clumsy rear square number plates that shriek Eunos - you have to replace the panel as well though.

Doesn't bother me really! Would rather spend whatever pennies i have on making it drive better... thats the reason i bought it after all! New tyres and then full alignment are high on my priority list, to be fair to it though it was hanging on quite well today when i was chucking it around.

Not really. Just tyres and wheel alignment for now. Ive just bought a 5 year old e class so i said to myself that i would get a toy that doesnt really need any money spending on it!

>.<

I knew I should have done more shopping around on mine! Paid less than that (not by much mind) and have probably put a similar amount into her replacing suspension, brakes and having the underside sand-blasted. Also the paintwork's minging!

Mind you, once she's been aligned at WIM this weekend and had a squeaky brake (Something must have been knocked when the suspension was sorted) fixed I think she'll be pretty fun down the country roads!

Looks great. Square back number plate is perfectly nice. Un-aerodynamic front one not so great. A cheap stick on one would help save some weight too. Well done for persevering and finding one sans rust.
