I took a Mazda Eunos Roadster into Colin Sparke, of C&C Sparkes Motor Engineering, today.

I was blown away by his unassuming, modest, honest nature.
A true gentleman, who knows this car (and other cars) inside out, and he is very honest, and is very reasonable on price.
HIGHLY recommended.
My first time to visit Colin with a car, and I would DEFINITELY return.

Thank you, he is a star.
As soon as I met him, I felt I could trust him, and as I found out over the course of the job he did, I could, 100%.
I took ownership of the car recently, and wanted it to go to someone with much familiarity with the Eunos/MX5, and I chose Colin based on the positive comments I had already seen on Pistonheads, and I am glad I did.

Yours wasnt the black mk1 in there, with the racing number on the side, having the suspension overhaul done?
He was telling me last week that it was a bit of a nightmare job with the bush-replacement!
That was mine and it really was a proper nightmare, buy cheap buy twice goes the saying! He was telling me last week that it was a bit of a nightmare job with the bush-replacement!
He's a good chap overall, took slightly longer than I'd hoped to get the work done but in fairness I did leave it with him and basically said I won't need the car for a couple of weeks so work on it around your other jobs.
New suspension / bushes etc are great, just got a highly irritating brake squeal now that I need to get sorted before it drives me truly insane!
PS: It isn't a race number, simply my Le Mans sticker which didn't get taken off before I left her in there!
I've not used him but chatted to him at some length at the Brooklands Double Twelve where the Eunos was lead car on the parade laps as well as taking the Brooklands bear up the Test Hill (someone had to do it!).
I was impressed by his knowledge of 5's and will deffo be taking it to him in the Autumn for rust removal on the rear drivers sill (appreciated his recommendation to use it over the Summer then repair in the off-season i.e not touting for business).
Cheers, Pewe.

3 year thread bump!
Just to add another plug and recommendation for Colin at C & C Sparkes Engineering.
Colin did the sills and a suspension refresh on my MX5. I wanted some paintwork looking at and he advised that it would be fine just tidying up and polishing... he was right and saved me a few £.
