Used MX-5 advice

Please can you tell me if this is worth £900?

Anything to look for particularly?

(considering a new MX5 but a/ never been in one before so I should try one for size and b/ current car has let me down and I need a stop gap car asap).

Ok now read the sticky, and it seems rust is the biggest thing to look for. Thanks.

Rust. Rust. Rust

On mk2s I believe its the front chassis rails, on mk1s its the sills. As far as I have experienced everything else can be repaired or replaced quite cheaply, even engines if you're ok with the spanners.

Reasonable value, MOT till March so worth asking if there are any rust 'advisories'. I have a T Reg 1800, bought blind off EBay for £600, years MOT with no advisories which I use for hillclimbing. Worth a punt, sills look ok from the photos and that's half the battle of owning an MX5!

Had a look. It's a 30 foot looker. A bit ropey.

By chance, bought a completely different car at a garage today and found out he had sold this actual car a few months ago.......for £400!
