MX5 Immobiliser 2003

Hi, Im having a problem with an MX5 It just wont start engine turns over, no power to fuel pump manually operate the relay fuel pump runs but car still wont start, I would like to bypass the immobiliser to rule it out is this possible, or any more help. I did have the same a few years ago on a friends car it happend a couple of times just left it and it started, then nad to take it to Mazda who swapped the immobiliser unit but no joy they said pos ecu before a decision was made the car started so he px it on the way home.
